The Boys of Billy Elliot Will Dance Their Way to the White House

The current title stars of Broadway's Billy Elliot are headed to the White House! Dayton Tavares, Alex Ko, Jacob Clemente and Liam Redhead will perform at The White House Dance Series: A Tribute to Judith Jameson, hosted by First Lady Michelle Obama, on September 7. The event will honor Broadway vet, choreographer and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater artistic director Jameson, and will feature ballet, hip hop, Broadway and modern dance performances.

Other groups scheduled to appear include the Washington Ballet, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Super Cr3w, the Alvin Ailey company and the New York City Ballet. The event is the latest in the Obama administration's focus on arts which included this summer's Broadway-themed White House concert featuring performers such as Elaine Stritch, Idina Menzel, Audra McDonald and Nathan Lane.
